Daniel Warren Phelps

Peacefully at his home in Fairfax VA, surrounded by his loving wife, Pat, his beloved dogs, family members and dear friends.
Dan was survived by his wife Patricia Rollyson Phelps, brother Tim Phelps (Kara), many friends and extended family members, dogs BG, Joe, and Minnie and kitties Krissy and Sylvester.
Dan was predeceased by his parents Warren and Julia Phelps, sisters Melanie Wickersham and Karen Davis.
After graduation from George Mason High School in Falls Church, Dan served in the USMC before spending his career with Safeway and then as a home repair contractor. Throughout his career Dan was well known to his customers for his patience, kindness and innovative solutions.
Throughout their 47-year marriage Dan and Pat were avid philanthropists, volunteering at nursing homes, animal rescue groups and most recently with Mutt Love Rescue in Fairfax VA.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 22nd from 6 pm to 8 pm at Demaine Funeral Home, 10565 Main Street, Fairfax, VA 22030, and a memorial service followed by a reception will be held at Demaine Funeral Home on Monday, February 23rd at 10:00 am. Burial will be at 2:00 pm at Riverview Cemetery, 325 South Holliday Street, Strasburg, VA 22657.
