Daniel Francis Schafer

We all know that Dan´s top loves in life were Jane, his boys, and Che'. But he also loved nature and especially flowers. Dan shared this love by photographing many different species and many of them are on display at the Geriatrics Center. He also shared many varieties that he grew on his farm. Dan was part of our Saturday morning coffee & lively conversation group, that included Dick Holland, Mike Hill, John Cavenaugh, Rick Dooling and myself. Each of us had our area of expertise, Dan, physician extraordinaire with a deep knowledge of insects, Mike Hill, Oscar winning film editor for Ron Howard, Rick, novelist & law professor at UNL, John, former Congressman and myself, photographer of golf courses.
