I've had many people contact me via e-mail, phone, cards, etc., with comments or stories of how Daddy's life here touched them in so many positive ways. I want to thank everyone for that, but also let them know how else to honor him and his memory. Today is Memorial Day. A day we honor our fallen soldiers. My daddy was a soldier. I am so sorry about Danny, I know the loss you have endured is so very difficult. Just take comfort that he is in heaven with Jesus and one day you will see him again. I think about the time Danny traded Dad the red car for a bottle of pop. we had such fun riding in that car. You all were such great friends and neighbors.

Just losing Mom, and three short weeks later, losing my brother, is very difficult, but God is still in control. I can remember, my brother Dan, never turning anyone away. His home was always open to his children's friends and families. He is loved and will be missed, but knowing he is in heaven with mom, and brother Sam, gives me the hope that one day we'll be together again. That's the hope we have in Christ Jesus.
