Not sure what to say?

Just found this page after all these years. It was nice reading these memories.

Dan,
You were one of a kind.
I will miss you.

Dan, you were a great and loyal friend. A man of so many talents, amateur magician, flamenco guitarist, professional artist, raconteur. I have many of your oil paintings and your vivid style and love of life will continue for me. Rest well, my friend.

Some saw him as a "loner" I saw it as a person picky about who he shared his thoughts and laughter with. ...

i've known dan since i was about 8-9 years old. i am now 58 years old and hadn't seen dan since my mid- teens. but i have such vivd memories of him. dan was the first true bohemian i ever met, and i really liked him. the contributions he made over his lifetime to the arts in san antonio are unfathomable. he was a genius, and even when his body started to work against him, he kept trying to learn and contribute. he will be greatly missed by all of us who truly appreciated who dan was and...
