December 9, 1975 - January 31, 2013
Macon, GA- Danielle Kelly Thompson, 37, died tragically on Thursday, January 31, 2013. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, February 4, 2013 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in the Kelly Family Cemetery. The Rev. Betty Jane Wimberly and the Rev. Loretta Faulk will officiate. The family will meet friends from 4 - 6 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital, 1001 Johnson Ferry Road, Atlanta, GA 30342.
Ms. Thompson was a native of Macon and a graduate of Northeast High School. She had worked as a caregiver in local nursing facilities and had been in the Funeral Director Apprentice Program at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. All who knew Danielle knew her for the love she had for her family (especially her children) and for her kind and gentle heart in always wanting to help others.
Her memory will always be treasured by those she loved most, her children, Tyler Daniel and Andrea Floyd, Keely Thompson, Levi Thompson and Cassie Elaine Thompson; her mother, Gail Kelly, father, Hurley Kelly, sister, Sandy (Frank) Williams, brothers, Benny Lewis, Jimmy "Stump" Lewis, David (Rosie) Lewis, Scotty (Laurie) Lewis; several nieces, nephews and cousins; the father of her children, Randy Thompson and special friends, Sonny, Sarah and Gage Daniel, sisters-in-law, Tracey (Ricky) Tapie, Heidi Meldrim, and in-laws, Beverly and Billy Stomatis.

Danielle it has been a week scene you were taken from you family and I miss you so much. You we're the best sister that anyone could ask for, I waited 16 years for you, I say momma I want a sister no more brothers please just a sister and on 12/9/1975 I got just what I asked for my sister my pride and joy I carried you around and took you many places I can't take you out to eat anymore can't cook for you can't talk to you on the phone but I can carry you in my heart each day that I live on . Sometimes when something like this happens, we never know what to say. Or we are afraid we will say the wrong thing.
I had the pleasure of meeting Danielle when we worked together at a local Nursing Home. From the moment I met her, she had me laughing. She was always joking with everyone, making everyone laugh and smile and making their day brighter. Never a dull moment with her around. She made working there a lot easier.
I also want to say to her family and friends, that you all are in my thoughts and prayers during this time.
