Not sure what to say?

Danny recruited me in 1972 to produce a weekly hour long criminal justice news magazine called Lock Up dealing with the Mass electronic cesspools called Prison. We remained in touch and he later went on to Executive Produce produce a doc I was working on called 911 Press For Truth. Danny Schecter hasn´t gone anywhere. I suspect he will be onboard for my next contact with the universe. Joe Baltar

Remembering DANNY with great love xx Danny, please advise us and guide us through stormy seas to a better time.

Danny, was a special friend for many decades. His memory illuminates and I know reaches far and wide. I had the pleasure of knowing his family and daughter when she was quite young. Condolences to all sent with love and smiles as wel.

I grew up in Boston and listened very closely to WBCN... Charles and Danny assisted me through not just the world of music but also thought. As a young teen in Boston, the 60's were chaotic and tumultuous and I appreciated Danny for his straight talk and his virtue. I could feel what Danny was feeling and discussing because I was seeing it and experiencing it as well. RIP Danny.... you continue to inspire.

Danny came into my life in 1969, when I was twelve years old, and when he was the News Director/Dissector of WBCN Radio. He at once became a voice and source that I could trust. Twenty years later, he became a valued and treasured personal friend. Today, I myself work in radio. I wouldnt be in that medium without him, and I remain guided by his values and example. Thank you so much, Danny, for being such a great mentor, teacher, and friend.

Danny's voice was an essential part of my daily life for (I now realize) decades... stunned to learn he's no longer with us. :( Dearly loved and deeply missed.

Danny's life rejuvenated others awareness of the love of being human .His loss is like the scent of a particular laughing flowering creative intelligence; that is blown into some cosmic wind ahead of mine...

The soul of man is the lamp ..

Danny and I met through a friend via telephone conversation. We LOL when we realized we both shared the same birthday. During our jaunts together at political events and my visits to NYC he taught me about the news business and I taught him about Samuel J Tilden. Danny encouraged me (as have others) to keep writing about Tilden to get the message out...So thank you my friend - I will miss you and your great sense of knowledge and humor...Condolences to his family and friends of which he had...

I met Danny when I was a wide eyed first year undergraduate at the London School of Economics. He became for me a benevolent and funny big brother - opening my eyes to the real dynamics of US politics, South Africa and great music! I last saw him ten years ago when I and a colleague were in NYC. He took us on a whirlwind alternative tour of the city - we didn't stop laughing and eating. Will miss him and the emails. With love.
