Not sure what to say?

He was my teacher. So sad to hear he passed at such a young age

I met Darryl when he first came to Germany and our paths crossed over the years at different locations both with educational and theatre endeavors. My sympathy to you and your family. May you find comfort in knowing he touched many lives and leaves a positive legacy.

Darryl was a special person, full of life, compassion and a desire to be the best that he could be, both as an educator and a caring individual. Our family believes that he fulfilled those qualities, and more.

"A smile, a touch, a gentle laugh remembered,
a voice softly whispered in the wind...."

May the memories of Darryl, held deep within your heart, help to soothe us at this sad time.

Jane, Steven, Marianne, Jeffrey and Lynn Levin

To the Levin Family,
I met Darryl soon after he had arrived in Germany and was assigned to one of the "outposts". Although it was isolated, Darryl, as he always seemed to be able to do, made the best of it.
He eventually was transferred to Mainz where we worked together for several years. He was a gifted teacher, talented in so many ways and has left a legacy of memories with so many friends, colleagues and students. As many have already stated, he will be missed.
My...

Dear Family of Darryl,
I know you are grieving the loss of Darryl. Our third grade level feels an empty spot in our school where Darryl once taught, but our hearts are full of good memories of him. His classroom was a wonderful place for his students to learn. The way I remember Darryl is as a dedicated, conscientious, and loving educator. He was always ready to bring out the best in his students and colleagues.
May God comfort and bless you now in this sad time.

Kathy and I echo all of the wonderful messages of remembrance that have been written by Mr. Levin's students, their parents, his friends and collegues. We were extremely fortunate to have two of our children, Margot and Hunter, experience Mr. Levin's third grade class at Neubruke Elementary School. We lived in Neubruke for four years and our children attended his school all four years. There was no finer teacher. He taught them many valuable lessons in addition to the mandatory academic...

Dear Precious Levin Family,
I am hnored to have had the opportu;nity to know Darryl for the past 25 years. As a colleague, a friend, a teacher on my staff, Darryl always displayed exemplary human qualities that were emulated by many. He was devoted to his mother, his brothers and his sister-in-laws. He was devoted to his dear and close friends, and his significant friend, Mike. He was devoted to his profession with his students always being in first place in his priorities. He was a...

When I heard of the loss of Mr. Levin I with filled with great sadness. He was such a special person and a great teacher who truly inspired not only my daughter, Katelynn Booth who was in his class last year but he also inspired me. Inspired me to be a teacher at home to my kids he taught me patience and he taught me that old fashioned values are still important today. For example, enforcing his class to eat at least half of their lunch, vegtables and all, and he ate with them. He was truly...
