Dave Breshears was born July 27, 1959, in Emmett, Idaho, and left this world on Feb. 17, 2009. Dave was a very unique man who lived in the wrong time. His chivalry, honesty and belief in speaking his mind were sometimes misunderstood. He was a man who never failed to come to someone's aid or...

Not sure what to say?

My heart and prayers go out to the family. Dave, It was a priviledge and honor knowing you my friend. You will be sorely missed.

What terrible tragedy to die so young. My children grew up with Zack. I remember Zack liked my daughter. I told her, that if he was like his father, he would be a keeper. I saw the way he truly loved and respected his wife and the way he protected and spent time with his family. He was like the dream man.

Dave was a great man and I loved to be around him every chance I got. His independence, humor and tendency to be outspoken was something I will always remember. Four years ago I did not know many people in the U.S. but Dave and Patty's hospitality was something that I will always appreciate and cherish forever. My deep condolences to Patty and Jesse; Zack, you know you will always have a good friend by your side and I will visit, hang out, and light up a fire for old times sake; for Dave. You...

Dave was such a good guy who truly loved his family. we spend many hours chatting in my office. he gave me tons of good advice and i will miss his awsome personality. Patty Zach and Jesse my prayers go out to you. Stay strong and know he loved all of you very much.

I will miss Dave. I went to school with him.He was always there with a smile and some incouragment.

I have riden my motorcycle several times since Dave's passing, and I seem to think of him alot, I think of times we would ride to different locations just for the pleasure of riding. I wish I could of been in Emmett on a few more occasions and been able to ride with you. I am sure some way you will be riding with me on my many trips ( even if my wife is with me ). I honestly can't find the words to describe the heart felt pain I have for your wife & 2 children. It will not be the same going...

Dave was one-of-a-kind; if you knew him, you either liked him or you hated him, there was no in between. As a general rule, if you were a politician or a person responsible to the public, and you did not perform your duties, Dave was there to put you in line. Maybe it was fishing from the hood of his car to highlight the enormity of Emmett’s pothole problem, or driving through town with a statement written on his car, Dave let you know what you were doing wrong, or right. We need people...

I thought Dave was a wonderful person. Whenever I was around him, I couldn't help but smile. I hope he knew that I really liked him & I'll really miss running into him. I'm really sorry for your loss Zack, Jesse, & Patty. I will always remember him. You're all in my prayers. Laura Nitzel
