Not sure what to say?

David was generally unpopular with tenure-track faculty. He cared about STUDENTS more! What's more important? The students! He was instrumental in the construction of an undergraduate library on Gullen Mall, just a few hundred feet from the WSU Student Union building.

The first time I met Dr. Adamany, it was in a Wayne State University parking lot at the site of the razed Mackenzie Hall (administration building), 1992. He was very approachable, considering that he was a University president!

Hello, my apologies for not knowing this sooner, or writing to you before now. My name is Greg L. Bass, Dr. Adamany was one of my English professors at Whitewater in 1967-68. He was teaching courses in John Milton and I took both courses. He taught me deeply about the idea of aesthetics in literature and art. He was most inspiring, and now at age 71, I still look back upon the inspiring and deep thought processes he taught me. I have since attained nearly three masters degrees; completed...

I am deeply, deeply saddened by the news of Professor Adamany's passing. As a Harvard Law grad, University President, brilliant lawyer, and law school professor, Dr Adamany could have been as arrogant as he wanted - but he was just the opposite - personable, witty, charming. He treated everyone with genuine respect and kindness. A true definition of the word "Gentleman.

He was very spry in the fall of '13 when I took him. He was the only professor in my career at Temple that wrote me...

I was in his State Government & Politics course offered at University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. A great teacher, mentor, and motivator. He confided that he read at least 45 minutes of non-fiction every night, after his head hit the pillow. For not always good and not always bad, I have followed his example, and it has served me well. The meaning and purpose of his life still influences me and the many privileged to have known him.

Doreen, I have sent you a message replying to yours but can't seem to get it to go. What e-mail address should I use to get you my response?

What a wonderful man and neighbor. Very sorry for your loss. He was truly extraordinary in character, kindness, and humor.

I will deeply miss him.

My deepest sorrow for your loss of your loved one may you find some peace and comfort in your many memories , and may yoy find some comfort in the scripture 2 Th 2: 16-17.

For all things I have the strength by virtue of him who imparts power to me. Phillipians 4:13 May you find strength in prayer and family as you grieve your loss.
