Not sure what to say?

I had the distinct privilege of photographing David for the Social Book´s Houston Treasure in 2018. Beyond his incredible talent, I remember him as one of the funniest people I have ever worked with, making every moment an absolute pleasure. David's artistic contributions to Houston's creative landscape are a legacy that will not be forgotten. We have lost a true treasure, and he will be profoundly missed.

I send my deepest condolences for your loss. What a talented man David was. My first introduction to David was through my mother, Mary Mabel Thomason Clegg. She was born in Huntsville one year before David was born. She passed away in 2019, but long before that she got to know him as a friend during the 80s and 90s and beyond, as they were both from Huntsville and knew a lot of the same people and both also had residences in Houston, where I grew up and was friends with Chris Criner,...

David was a good friend of my husband Dick Brunner. I visited his studio in Houston with him one time. He gave us a Sam Houston blanket with his signature, which I have fondly displayed in our living room. David and his brother were the sculptors of a Texas A&M bonfire statue which is prominently displayed on campus in Aggie Park in College Station. I think of David every time I walk thru the Park. My husband passed away in 2005. Such a talented and wonderful your David was.

I use to live with David for much of the 1980´s & was sad to learn of his passing 2 weeks ago. My condolences to his daughter Mary & family. Pic 1.Getting ready to attend a movie screening of "For All Mankind"by friend Al Reiner in the 1980´s. Pic 2.David clowning around as usual. RIP

My condolences to the family.

I lived with David for much of the 1980´s. This is a photo we took before we went to our friend Al Reinhard´s movie screening of "For all mankind". So sad to hear of his passing before I could visit him this fall. Prayers for Mary Adickes & family. RIP David.
