I met David in 2014 for a small settlement, seemed very honest when he charged me just for the service rendered - not for his level of experience, when I told him I don't live in Texas, he said he would take care of any communication later, never sent another bill to date. I am certain he is in a better place now, may his soul rest in peace.

As a lawyer, David helped me with some of my struggles. Without his help, my life would be very different and probably very uncomfortable. I am saddened by the news of his death. He influenced my life and I am forever grateful.

In shock of the passing David. I met David in 1970 the year we started High School. Years passed but no matter when we spoke it was as if we were always the best of friends. Happy Trails Old Friend....

David, my friend of many years! Playing football in Tully stadium. Kick the can on our neighborhood streets, wrapping houses and confetting yards and getting caught! Playing in our own band, our favorite song was Born to be Wild. Parties at the neighborhood pool, playing spin the bottle. Sneaking out at night. OMG What fun times we enjoyed! Planning to run away and float down the Mississippi and create our own Mark Twain adventure. We got caught before we could make our escape, we just weren't cut out for the bad boy persona. You moved away with your family to Chicago, it took me a long time to recover as I had lost my best friend and mentor. Within the last couple years we reconnected at the Redneck Country Club. Smoked cigars and shared our life experiences. It was if we never skipped a beat in our friendship, Our paths were separated early yet when we got together again we each seemingly had similar experiences growing up and living life, starting families and living each day as it was the last. You will always have a special place in my soul and may you rest in peace my friend. Until we meet again in the house of our lord. Peace

My heart is broken to hear that David has gone to be with our Lord.. He was always Rocking and Rolling.. He talked about how great life was and where he was taking his law practice. Always happy. He loved being an attorney. We talked about loved ones that have left us. And how one day we would reunited with them.. I know his faith got him through all the tough times. Now our God has taken him home. Til we meet again.. Rest in peace.

David was a kind and gentle man in his life and to his family, and an smart, prepared lawyer ready to go bat for his clients. David won for me in mediation with the sheer knowledge of all facts right at his fingertips, strategy and calm demeanor. David was a close friend of my fiancee, Jim Bradley. And, a good colleague to me. We will both miss him dearly.

David was a dear Christian friend and he felt like a brother to me. The world has lost a kind soul that went out of his way to help everyone around him. I cherish all the things he has taught me through the years of working together. To this day, I pass and help others from the things I learned from him. David always talked about his wife and family with such passion and love. I pray for the family and wish you God's comfort during this difficult time.

I've known Dave since law school. I still remember playing intramural basketball with him. He was the only guy on the team with any talent. For 21 years I was a district judge in Harris County, Texas. He had a number of cases in my court. He was a fine lawyer and a fine man. May the Peace of Our Lord Jesus Christ be with him and his family.

I was a 21 year old young woman when God brought you into my life. He knew that I needed you. We have spent many days and nights at the office, fighting in court for our clients or at family gatherings over the past 16 years. My mentor, my 2nd father, my confidant and dear friend, the world is a much sadder place without your soul. Your intentions with everyone you meet have always been transparent and without expectations. I am grateful that I have had the opportunity to express my gratitude for all the lessons you have taught me in life and in my career. I am forever indebted to you for that. You are the very best at what you do and it is a sad sad time for the legal community. You brought me and my kids into your family and treated us as such. You always made sure everyone was always fed and happy. Being brought into your circle was definitely a refreshing change from what I was used to seeing growing up. I remember always thinking does this man EVER get angry? Or when does he ever stop?? =) Making sure your kids were always happy and knew you loved them was always a priority to you. The ability to see the love over the years that you have for your Linda Lou has been so inspiring. I don't know how she is going to make it without you but I promise to be there for her as much as I possibly can. One of the things you always used to say is people will always remember you for how you made them feel...man, you sure were right. You will forever be missed DTA!
