I will remember Dave as a neighbor and friend to me in Lincolnton. He always had a smile on his face.
Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Hey David, I'm really glad you called me up that one day you were in NYC a couple years ago to meet up for lunch. That was the last time I saw you and what stood out to me most was your kindness and sense of humor. You'll be missed.

I'm sitting here reading everyone's entries and it is no surprise to me to hear how much David was loved and will be missed. He definitely held and will always hold a very special place in my heart. The sadness is truley overwhelming and uncontrolablabe.
My heart and soul knows that David is in heaven with our Lord, which does give me peace, but my flesh selfishly wants him back here with us.
I love you so much David and look forward to hearing your beautiful music...

Dave -
I'm still in shock that you got to be the first one in our family to meet Jesus!
It's gonna be hard not being able to call you and telling you stories about the kids and hearing your hearty laugh.
I will always treasure your letters and I will miss your quick wit and laughter. I'm very thankful that you were with me when I got turned on and your tears touched my heart.
You are forever embedded in my heart and in my thoughts. I love you...

You couldn't help but notice David's bright spirit and his irrepressible enthusiasm for life. He was one of those pacesetters by whom we get a sense of whether we're giving life a pretty good go or whether we might consider picking up the pace a bit and show a little more gratitude to God.
There was no quarter in his estate for feeling bored or complacent. David's life was in motion, and it should come as no surprise that he shot right off the stage between the first and second...
