Not sure what to say?

You were a true servant, messenger, and sharer of God's Love.

Fr. David thanks for everything you've done for St. Joe's. We will truly miss you. You were the best.

Fr. David's spiritual guidance, good humor and musical talents endeared him to many.
This is my "Fr. David story"---
After my husband, Lee, retired, his association with the Wisconsin/ Nicaragua partners organization provided an opportunity for him to do a volunteer assignment in Nicaragua, but he was concerned that he was too old to attempt this project. We knew of Fr. David's many years as a Capuchin missionary in Nicaragua, so I encouraged Lee to seek his advice.

Fr. David...

My dearest Fr. David, my most solemn prayers for you. You are my heart. You are an inspiration in the lives of many specially to me. I will miss you my Fr. David.

I miss you, my friend in music and in spiritual matters!

My deepest to you. Thinking of you and sending prayers to you for strength during this difficult time.
Peace.

Our hearts go out to the Belongea family. My husband Dave and I were lifelong classmates with Fr. David (always Carl to us) and choir singers with him and his sisters also. My son works with his nephew. Truly, the world will miss Fr.David.

Fr. David loved the Fox Valley Symphony, and had a great voice for singing. He always had a joke to tell. Now he can sing and tell jokes in heaven. He will be missed.

Sincerest condolences to the Belongea family. May it comfort you to know that God is there to heal your broken heart (Ps. 147:3). Pray to him, he will strengthen you and give you peace.
