Not sure what to say?

a scholar walked among us at limestone college and the footprints will always remain. you always said we were friends because intellect knows no color.it seems like we were just at patrice abrams wedding at the college. you will never be forgotten.

David, it is hard to believe that twenty years have come and gone, and you are gone to your eternal rest. It reminds me of Michael Jackson’s song, “Gone too Soon.” I thought we had it all and would make it to eternity. Even when we divorced, my plan was to live in the next neighborhood and be your best friend forever. God laughs when we make plans - you know. All I can say now is thanks for the love, support, and memories that will sustain me for a lifetime. Most importantly, thank you for...

David,
You were a great friend and brother-in-law. Thank you for supporting our children and us in our challenges in life. We will always remember the family dinners with you.

David was such an exceptional educator. He always made time to talk with you and never made you feel as if you had to rush to convey your thoughts. I always looked at him as my "go to" educator because I really could go to him about any questions regarding education. He was such an inspiration to me as well as numerous people. We will miss him dearly.

Love,

Dear Dad,
Thanks for the best sixteen years of my life. You were always there for me, and in some ways, you still are. You'll be missed, and I am going to do my best to carry on your legacy.
With love,
Aaron Bomar

Dr. David Bomar exemplified the qualities of an educator. He read and studied for the sake of learning, not solely to amass degrees or titles, but because he loved it! However, he didn't stop there. He SHARED that knowledge. He used his writings, his words, and his wisdom to touch the lives of thousands of young people and teachers. David Bomar was truly an exceptional educational leader in South Carolina. We will miss him.
Sincerely,

David was a very important member of our family. He constantly encouraged education and to seek your hightest. David and Aaron please be encouraged, strive to reach your highest potential.
Love,

My life has been enriched through my relationship with David. I loved him like a brother as he demonstrated brotherly love to me. He inspired me to be a teacher and share that which I love. I will truly miss him.

Sincerely,
His favorite sister-in-law

Arthur and I extend heartfelt sympathy to the Bomar family. Not only was David a well respected educator, he was also a kind and thoughful gentleman in the truest sense. We will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
