Not sure what to say?

jessie and amy. Hi. You don't know me but I knew your dad as a child at Belle Sherman school.Later on his first band was called The Tradewinds who consisted of Dave lead singer and guitar, Don Townley Lead guitar Joel Warren Bass Me on tenor guitar and Don Sopp on drums, this being late 1964 or 65 we were students at DeWitt Junior High, which is now the DeWitt mall. After a while I split off and took up bass and had a very long career playing in Chicago where I moved in 1975. In sept. 2007 I...

David and I went to Ithaca High School together and graduated in the same class. May his family only remember the good times.

My sincerest condolences to your family. David and I were close friends in our early 20's and beyond. I have many fond, rich memories of get togethers for music, friendship and fun...drinking Cold Duck beside the highway in Danby, a Battling Tops marathon that lasted 2 days, fishing at Black Lake, playing guitars and singing for hours in my living room, working for my Dad together at the Sebring Inn, we shared time as good friends. He is sadly missed, but well remembered as a sweet, gentle...

My fondest memorys of David are Sundays, loading my car with a guitar , small amp , David , DeeDee , my future wife (didn't all fit in his belovedVW) and drive to a little country bar between Van Etten and Waverly and be treated to Dave sing and play ballads all afternoon. You are missed !

To my big brother,I will miss talking to you.We had great times growing up. love, your little sister

I was so saddened when I read of Dave's death. I have known Dave since we were at DeWitt. He was always so kind! Yes, he sure loved his music and he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. There will be another empty chair at our class reunions. Trusting your sweet memories are a comfort.

To David's Family,
Dave was one of the "Good Guys". We were in the same graduating class at IHS, and I was always delighted to see him at our various reunions. I recently was searching around on YouTube and found a picture of a band that Dave played in, the "Continentals" along with an audio of the song. Dave is in the forefront of the picture. It had to have been taken when we were all about 17 years old. That picture is how I will remember him.
With sincerest regards,

David and I grew up together as neighbors on Snyder Hill. We attended school together from 1st grade to graduation (1967). Dave was always kind and considerate to everyone. Condolences to the family. Nancy (Sears) Nivison

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
