Dear Beautiful Boykin Family,
You are all wonderful phenomenal people and I can see Uncle Dave's positive light in you. I meant to write something sooner, but I've had loss for words and I was hoping to write something poetic, comforting and soothing on the unexpected passing of your husband, your dad, and our uncle. Dave & I were charter classmates at MSUO, so named at the time. He was also older than the typical freshman, as was I, so we sort of melded in some experiences. I thought he had a dry, subtle sense of humor so we often enjoyed disparaging the school which was warranted at the time.
I told Dave that upon graduation, I had decided to return to CA (had been there in the US Navy)since career opportunities were far greater there than in Detroit & SE Michigan. I invited Dave to go with...

I knew Dave from my early days in Retirement Claims and always enjoyed his gentle humor. We would occasionally meet in later years and always feel a connection. I was honored to know this kind man.
