I thought after a bit of time passed, it would be easier to to to find the words to say how much Dave meant to me but no words seem adequate. He was my pastor but first and foremost loved like family and my friend. It's obvious that many witnessed the compassionate, social justice side of Dave that made a conscious effort to reach out to those others found uncomfortable.
