Hi Ellen, This is Richard Baker at Tulane 1973-1977. I was trying to look up Dave after all these years and I found this article. Are you the same Ellen I knew and the same Dave, too? If so, I have always considered myself lucky to know both of you. My heart goes out to you, Richard 281-433-6600

Learning very late of Dave's passing I was deeply saddened. Dave was both a friend and mentor to me at COMSAT. He was inspirational and instrumental in the early development of my career and I am grateful to him for his encouragement and support. On the personal side, I always considered Dave a dear friend. His dry sense of humor lightened our days – I can remember his grin so vividly as he found irony and humor in so many aspects of work and life. I regret losing contact with Dave for...

My deepest condolences go out to Dave's family. I worked with Dave for a while at Comsat and remember him as a great guy. We had many good times over lunch. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He will be missed.

Ellen,
I just learned of the passing of Dave, and I am really sadden by the news, and I'd like to express my deepest, heart-felt sympathy to you and Dave's mother. He was a great guy, fun co-worker and a dear friend, whom I will never, ever forget!
Dave will always have a place in my heart.
May God bless you and his mother during this very difficult time.

I work in HQ Accounting in Waltham, MA. I do not recall actually meeting David, although I know he spent time in my office while I was there, many years ago. Since then we worked a lot together virtually. I could always rely on David to get something done, corrected or answered for me. And he knew I would help him in anyway I could, at this end. He was always great with the online 'smiles', often picking on me, or teasing me. I was very concerned when he told me of his cancer. I am...

Ellen,
I can not begin to imagine what you are going through, but for me, I have lost a dear friend of 18 years and for me it is exceptionally painful. I truly wish I could have been at the service, but I could not return from California soon enough. David's last message to me is painful to read, which says, "Have fun in San Francisco, see you when you get back." David welcomed me as a friend the day I started at COMSAT in March 1990. Over the years we have shared our lives...

Dear Ellen,
We are deeply saddened to learn of Dave's passing. I will always be grateful for the opportunity he gave me to work for him at Comsat. I remember Dave always had time for me no matter how busy he was, and always had a great sense of humor. We will miss him terribly.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family in your time of grief.
