Not sure what to say?

Dear Eirinn,

It is with deep deep sadness we learned of David's passing. You, Michaela, and Maria, are in our thoughts every day here in Chicago and I wish we could be there with you at this time. I walk every morning, early, down through the Lincoln Park gardens which are blooming at this time of year. Only the birds and the occasional groan from an animal in the zoo on my route occupy the serenity with me at that hour of the morning. These past couple of weeks as I look East at...

Dear Jean and family:

Please accept my sincere condolences. I am at a loss for words to express the sadness I feel for all of you. May you as a family take solace in knowing others share your grief.

Sincerely,

Gail Kustigian

I am so very sorry for your loss. I'm so stunned. I played for many years on the Bocce league but sadly the last two I've been only a sub and haven't seen him much! I will always remember him as the nicest friendliest guy. So devastating and my heart goes out to the family and especially his wife and two beautiful daughters. I have no words. God bless.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

David, I remember so well seeing you with your first born daughter at Martha and Paul's home in Woods Hole, MA over the Thanksgiving holiday. You were lit up with sheer happiness over your first little precious baby girl. I knew then how much it meant to you to be a loving and dedicated father, and enjoyed the happiness I saw while watching you play with and console her. I am not surprised what a gift you were to your family, and am so very sorry it has ended so soon. I will never forget...

You could not be in Dave's presence without him making you smile. It was one of his greatest gifts. His love of life was so evident and moreover contagious. He was a Good Man. I hope and pray that Eirinn and his girls will take solace knowing God has a special place for Dad for a life well lived.

I had the pleasure of working with Campi in the Square D SLC field office. He couldn't believe there was so much "open" space in Utah. We had to drive to St George (7 hours away) and he kept saying he could drive through 5 states in 7 hours. He always had a smile on his face and was a joy to be around. I am so sorry for your loss - the world just lost a shining star, but heaven has gained a new one. My deepest sympathy and prayers are with you all.

This obituary is so well written and clearly from the heart. It's what Dave deserved.
