Dear Connie Kay, I knew your Dad, David, in the early '70s. I recently learned of his passing and it is with great sorrow that I write this. He was a warm, giving man with a ready smile and that sparkle in his eye when he was happiest. I remember asking him what was the secret to his wonderful pasta sauce and he told me a little grated carrot. Also, he loved Cherokee, NC and the outdoors. He was a hard worker and a good friend to all. David was a very sweet man and I had hoped he would...

Connie, I am so sorry you had to lose your dad. You were the world to him as he often spoke of you. He teared as he told me the story about the Indian blessing your mom so you were born. He worried so for your future. Know that he is always with you, in your heart! I'm sorry I wasn't there-I didn't know.
