Mr Cofer was a blessing for our family throughout many years. He advised our father (Milton Gooden) on many issues. His honesty and integrity was always in the forefront of his dealings. D. Brooks Cofer - such an entertaining and intriguing District Attorney who showed me the courtroom ropes when I became an adult/juvenile probation officer in January 1970. I would not have made it through those many trials, hearings and court dockets without his guidance and belief in me. Thanks, Brooks, for being there.
