Not sure what to say?

Dave- my gosh 11 years ago you left all of us who know you , in a tragic accident. Still , to this day , I think about you and Judy traveling to an antique fair as you had been doing for many, many years, when this happened. I missed our visits at the mall and you sharing your vast knowledge of ephemera and many other vintage items. I learned a great deal from you. I hope Judy and your sons are well and know you watch over them from heaven. Rest in Peace David.

Dear Decker Family-

I had just learned about Mr. Decker's passing. I had him in 5th grade about 46 years ago. I clearly remember what a fine teacher and person he was. He certainly helped me step up my game as a student. I am so sorry for your loss.

Gene George-- UEHS Class of '75

I'm truly sorry to hear of Mr Decker's passing. He was my 5th grade teacher and I, still to this day, speak of him as one of my favorite teachers! And, currently in the teaching profession, I realize what a remarkable person he really was! God's strength and comfort to your family.

Dave was a mentor to me for my first teaching job...5th grade at George H. Nichols. He helped me through many challenges and was professional and had a good sense of humor. He was a good teacher and role model. My sympathy to the family. Linda (Wheeler) Watson

Judy, Joel, and Scott-I was saddened to read of Davids death. I will miss seeing him walking at the mall and gabbing with him. He was always a gentleman when he would stop into our center at the mall to drop his coat off before walking. He was a wealth of knowledge about antiques and ephemra which he had a vast collection of. He certainly contributed to the community in many ways. Please accept our sympathy.

My thoughts and prayers are with all the family.

I love you all and am praying for you. Sorry I couldn't be there.

Judy, Joel and Scott. I was so saddened by the news of David's tragic accident. David walked each day at the mall and would stop in to leave his coat and hat at our business. We also talked many times about antiques and I would check out your booth at shows. Judy, I had the pleasure of meeting you with him. He spoke so often of you and his sons. He was a very nice guy and I hope that the memories you have will sustain you through this difficult time. Please accept my sympathy. Carol...

To the Decker Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. Mr. Decker was my 5th grade teacher at George H. Nichols and he pushed me both in the classroom and on the playground. Later during my high school days he was the ultimate "stat man" and we managed to keep him busy! A class individual in every sense. God Bless.
