Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathies to the family. I went to Quigley North with Dave. We graduated together in 1971. Rest In Peace my friend.

Rest in Peace, Dave! One of the better memories of Niles College. You became a fine Priest!

When Dave was at OLPH in Glenview, I remember him during a snow storm driving a pickup truck plowing the church parking lot. A wonderful person who always reached out to people with something good to say.
May you enjoy paradise in the company of God.

Father Dave,
So very sorry to learn of your passing. I wanted so much to visit you at your parish this summer, but now that never will be. You are a great priest, friend and special man of God.
We've known each other from days at St. Mary of Celle Parish in Berwyn and I have so many fond memories of you, Father Cy, and Father Ray...you were a great team leading your parishioners through so many Holy Days, Holidays, and most of all the Sacraments.
God grant you peace, Father...

My sincerest condolences to the Dowdle and Gallagher families on the loss of Father Dave. Heaven has gained a new member of the choir. I fondly remember David Dowdle as a student in my first eighth grade class at St. Bernadine's School.

Condolences to the Dowdle family.
I was baptized by Fr. Dave at our OLPH Easter Vigil in 1991. He was my inspiration and guiding light during my RCIA journey . . . he still is.

Thank you Fr. Dave for your service to the people of God! Rest now in the warm embrace of the Holy and Life-giving Trinity.

Dear Dowdle Family,
We were so sad to hear of Dave's illness and passing. Please accept our sympathy and know you are in our prayers.

Karen and I would like to send our heartfelt condolences to the entire Dowdle family. Father Dave was a great cousin and friend to my family, especially in providing much-needed comfort when we lost both of our parents in short order a few years ago.

We will miss you, Dave, but so grateful for the great memories we shared together.
