David and I spoke at least 2 times a week while we were colleagues at SAGE. We share many private details of our lives and I loved him as a unique individual and friend. My last VM from him was in 2023. I know he was having fun living out his dream and I will really miss him. Thank You Dear David for your friendship. Love you and will see you in the other side

I am so sorry to hear this news. I lived across the hall from David when he lived in Clayton. He was such a kind man. He taught me a little about cats and I got to watch Iris for him a few times when he went out of town. He also befriended the woman who lived upstairs who was retired and spent much of her time tending to beautiful flowers she planted on the side of and behind the building we lived in. David and I were in the same class (1975) at Parkway Central High School. I always admired him and looked up to him as a role model. The one specific memory I have of him is that we were asked to play a recording of our favorite song for a class (I can't remember which one). Dave's favorite was "Crystal Blue Persuasion" by Tommy James and the Shondells.

David was a dear friend at Booksource, Unique Books, and stops in between. The lovely obituary in the Post-Dispatch describes him well. My sympathy to his family.
