Not sure what to say?

It´s hard to believe it´s been 14 years. We were in Hot Rod Power Tour this week. In Bowling Green, so many of Beech Bend Raceway´s scenes reminded us of our great times together at the annual reunions. Your memory is indelible - you are missed to this day.

I remember Dave's smile like it was yesterday. He would come by the machine shop at Montalvo Auto Parts just about daily. Though I hadn't seen him in many years, we'll all miss him.

I haven't seen Dave for years but it seems he lived his love for racing all his life. Wonderful for him...full of friends, family and cars...and still smiling. RIP Dave Faist !!

Steve,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know you and your father had some difficult moments, but I'm sure you know how much he loved you and your sister.

Love,
Teresa Wharton-Kenney

Doug, I cannot express how deeply sorry I am to hear of David's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I think of your wonderful mother often.
Sincerely, Shirley May Steelman

Love lives on forever in the memories, in the stories, in the hearts of All whose lives have been touched by a very Special person, and that Special person was Dave. God Bless Afton

Dave, in the Opryland Hotel, Nashville.

In the last few years, my friend of 40 years would be our house guest at this time of year, as we attended the National Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green Kentucky. The timing of his passing is painful; the loss irreparable.

So few times in life, one gets a chance just to meet someone as openly friendly and genuinely helpful as Dave. Donna and I are honored to have considered him as family.

I have known Dave for years dating back to when Dave and my brother Rick ran out of Montalvo Speed Shop and Auto Parts with the help and friendship of Bob “Thumbs” Waldren. Dave was always helping others and was just a kick to be around. This time last year Dave and I were at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Ky at the Hot Rod Reunion with my brother Rick, his wife Donna and some good old Tennessee friends that Dave met back there. Just a couple of weeks ago we were having dinner together...
