Dear Diane, Elizabeth, Jimmy, August and Samuel, Our hearts go out to you in the passing of your wonderful Husband, Father, and Grandfather David. David and I first met when we started doing business together almost fifty years ago. My wife, Carol, and I quickly became close friends with Dave and Diane and were fortunate to be able to share many adventuresome trips through the years. David was devoted to Diane and very proud of both Elizabeth and Jimmie, both of whose many accomplishments he proudly bragged. More recently he was blessed to share many wonderful hours with his two grandchildren who lit up his days to no end. A...

I am so sorry to hear about David´s passing. I literally just found out. David was a fine gentleman and a loving caring person. He was a good friend. I liked David the very first day I meet him on the Scallywag. I know dad loved him like a son. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Diane, and your whole family. God speed to David.

Dave was a friend for more than seventy years, beginning on Maude Avenue in Brooklyn, and continuing with lunches and phone calls until this very year. We played baseball and football together, we both attended Poly, and we served in the Army in Viet Nam in the late sixties. Dave was a Combat Infantryman, the toughest and most dangerous of all assignments, and he did it bravely. He was a great businessman who always served his clients well, and was an even more devoted and proud family...
