Dear Diane, Elizabeth, Jimmy, August and Samuel,
Our hearts go out to you in the passing of your wonderful Husband, Father, and Grandfather David.
Our families met when Sean and Jimmy became great friends at Penn State.
It was fun getting to know you at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon parent gatherings.
We knew David to be engaging, interesting, fun, and caring. A man who put his family first and treated everyone with respect.
I remember when Jimmy and Sean were studying abroad in Italy, a large amount of baked beans were sent to Jimmy because he enjoyed them so much! There isn´t anything David wouldn´t do for his family.
God promises that we will be with our loved ones again in Heaven.
Prayerfully thinking of you.
God is with you.

David and I first met when we started doing business together almost fifty years ago. My wife, Carol, and I quickly became close friends with Dave and Diane and were fortunate to be able to share many adventuresome trips through the years. David was devoted to Diane and very proud of both Elizabeth and Jimmie, both of whose many accomplishments he proudly bragged. More recently he was blessed to share many wonderful hours with his two grandchildren who lit up his days to no end. A wonderful person to have as a friend, Dave was very proud of being from Baltimore and often spoke of his old chums and their growing-up tales - always recalling those fond memories with a mischievous glint in his eyes. His generosity even extended to strangers. One very hot and humid day in Singapore, while on a bus tour, Dave exited the bus and returned with two very large cartons of ice-cold popsicles which he distributed to the entire bus load of passengers. Of course he became the delight of the crowd. Dave touched the lives of many on his road to success and always had the time to stop and talk and, be they beggar or baron, extended the same respect to all. We can see him now, chatting up the angels around the Pearly Gates. Please rest in peace, Dave, we will miss you.

I am so sorry to hear about David´s passing. I literally just found out. David was a fine gentleman and a loving caring person. He was a good friend. I liked David the very first day I meet him on the Scallywag. I know dad loved him like a son. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Diane, and your whole family. God speed to David.

Dave was a friend for more than seventy years, beginning on Maude Avenue in Brooklyn, and continuing with lunches and phone calls until this very year. We played baseball and football together, we both attended Poly, and we served in the Army in Viet Nam in the late sixties. Dave was a Combat Infantryman, the toughest and most dangerous of all assignments, and he did it bravely. He was a great businessman who always served his clients well, and was an even more devoted and proud family man. I salute you Dave Fisher. I am blessed to have known you.
