We at the Stockyard Café on Airline were and are still so saddened with the loss of our friend & customer David.
Today is 24 Oct.14 and Margie, my line manager, happen to acknowledge that we have lost some memorable customers and your David was one first mentioned. May God be with you & your family .

Kitty, Mr.Cary, Randy, and all the Fontenot family: when I heard David's name at Mass this morning, I hoped it was the other David Fontenot. I did not hear about it earlier in the week, and I regret not being there to support your family. I have seen David at the CHS BBQ the past few years, and it was good to catch up with him there each year. Know that my prayers are with you all in this difficult time.

David was one of the first people I met when I moved to Baton Rouge in 1996 to work at Hibernia. It was a pleasure working with him at the Bank since.

Dear Kitty and all of David's family, I am sorry for your loss and I will pray that you find peace. I got to know David in the past few years, as we worked in close proximity. Mrs. Fontenot, (Kitty) . . I was devestated when I heard David had passed. I'm an old friend from CHS. You must know how much I admired David. He was always so warm and friendly to me. We were on the State Wrestling Team, 1975. He was fierce and competitive; he inspired all of us. Kitty, your husband was a good man and loved by many. My heart is heavy and I am so sorry for your loss. We all lost a wonderful friend.

I learned of David's passing earlier this afternoon. David was my first boss after graduating college at Citicorp Acceptance Company. David was a GREAT mentor and friend to me. I pray for God's peace on Kitty and his entire extended family. I will never forget the positive influence David had on my life.
