David Foy Obituary

DAVID H. FOY DYER, IN
David H. Foy, 62, of Dyer, IN passed away February 11, 2016. David is survived by his wife, Kim; four daughters: Melissa (Shawn) Greslo, Leslie (James) Toon, Tabatha (Jeremy) Creasbaum, Amanda (Max Majchrzak) Foy; four grandchildren: Bryse Greslo, Mikayla, Aidan, and Gage Creasbaum; four sisters: Kathy (Russ) Fosnaugh, Lauren (George) Woodrick, Nancy (Dave) Hussey, Jeanne (Mark) Pedziwiatr; and one brother William Foy. He had many nieces and nephews; a brother- in-law; Michael (Melissa) Marshall; and sister-in-law Karen Marshall. Dave was preceded in death by his parents William and Emma Foy. Dave opened his heart and home to the many family and friends he had. His generosity touched the lives of many and his memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Dave was an entrepreneur, owner of Rush Electric for 26 years, and a go getter. Ultimately, he was a husband, a dad, and a grandpa first. He spent every minute enjoying his quality time with his family by fishing, traveling, playing Ship Captain Crew, and watching cowboys. Dave was notoriously known for his "limo songs" and his legendary 4th of July Parties. To say Dave was known and liked by many would be an understatement. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, February, 15, 2016 from 1:00PM-8:00PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home: 8178 Cline AV(1/2 mile south of US 30) Schererville, IN. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 10:30AM in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to: The William J. Riley Memorial Residence, Hospice of the Calumet Area, Munster, IN.

Miss Me, But Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road,
and the sun has set for me.
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a littlebut not too long,
and not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that was once shared.
Miss me, but let me go.

For this is a journey we all must take,
and each must go alone.
It's all a part of the master's plan,
a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart,
go to the friends we know.
Bear your sorrow in good deeds. Miss me,
but let me go.
All our Love! Randy & Cheryl

Jeanne,

After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto are the happy memories that we've shared with our loved ones who have passed, this is what keeps them alive in our hearts and in our minds, and they will continue to live on, through us. My deepest condolences you and your family.
