I just found out of Dave's passing today. I can tell you that he had a profound impact on my life. I teach geography and economic history at Modesto Junior College, and Dave took every class that I taught. He was a passionate learner and challenged students in each class to engage, participate in discussion, and invest in their own lives!! I am so very sorry. I just found out about Dave's passing. We went to school together many years ago and were really good friends. I ran into him at the Bluefish Festival in Clinton CT. quite a few years after graduation. He was a wonderful person. I am so very sorry for your loss.

I met Dave at MICL and watched him blossom into a very fine politician. He was a true gentleman and an honorable City Councilman. I miss him.

A very kind and gentle soul, Dave genuinely cared about people. He attended as many events and functions as he could and he listened to what people had to say. You couldn't ask to have a better man as a public servant and other electeds should aspire to his example. The City of Modesto and his district were truly blessed to have Dave as their councilman.
My deepest sympathies and prayers to his family. May our Good Lord ease your heartbreak and the emptiness his passing leaves. Know...
