Not sure what to say?

Always a happy and decent soul that was a quiet but powerful presence for the Class of 1980 of Shaker Heights High School.

I was part of the Wooster in Vienna Program many years ago, the same summer David and Vanessa went and I was saddened to read of his passing in the Wooster magazine. While I did not know him well, I just remember how funny he was and how kind he was to everyone. I just remember sitting in a beer garden, outside Vienna, laughing. That was a good summer. I pray for Vanessa and her three daughters. I went on to have 6 sons and live in Wheaton, IL. Small world. Again, I am so sorry. ...

I'm so sorry to just be hearing of David's passing now. I was a student of his at US and his love of science and teaching and just generally being a good person was an inspiration to me then and now. My childhood dog (Moses) was from your families litter and I have such fond memories of the dogs playing together and hanging out with Mr Genger. My sincerest condolences to you all, but know that David had a profound impact on my life and will always be remembered.

I was greatly saddened to learn a few days ago from fellow Wooster alums of Dave's passing. I was Dave's roomate at Wooster at Kenarden Lodge and at Slater House. Dave was a great roomate and a one of a kind individual- he possessed a unique and hilarious sense of humor (I credit him with making me a lifelong David Letterman fan). My thoughts and prayers are with Dave's parents, and with Vanessa, Melissa, Coley and Allyson.

Dear Nancy and David, Tom and I just received Markko's newletter where we learned of David Jrs. passing. We are heartsick for you both. Please accept our condolences, and our prayers.

Dear Nancy and family,
I was so very saddened to learn of your difficult loss. There are no words that can truly help soothe the pain you are feeling but hopefully, knowing that friends are thinking of you may help ease this painful time a little bit.
My deepest sympathy to you all.

Dear Nancy and Dave,

I didn't hear of your loss until a few days ago but please know that I am thinking of you and have you in my prayers. I hope God can grant you some peace at this difficult time as you come to terms with David's passing. I will be in touch. Nancy Seabrook

Dear Genger Family,

I am so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. Whether he was playing hockey at Shaker or attending youth group at church, he did it with a twinkle in his eye and a zest for living. You are all in my thoughts.

Dear Nancy and Family:
I am so sorry to hear about David. You are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you at this difficult time-may He grant you all the strength you need.
