My condolences on Dave's death. Dave and I served together on the hiring committee at Venable for several years and he was a pleasure to work with - his sense of humor was particularly memorable.

Please accept our condolences and sympathies on the passing of David who we considered to be a colleague, friend and mentor. Words can't express the profound sadness left in the wake of the passing of such a gifted person. We are all the richer for having known him and the poorer for his having departed so early.

I am deeply saddened by David Goewey's untimely death. He and my daughter, Paula Titus Laboy, joined Venable at about the same time and continued their friendship after Paula left the firm. He was a great lawyer who had a famously dry sense of humor and did not take himself too seriously. I was privileged to call him my partner until I left to join the federal bench. My sincere condolences to the family.

We met in kindergarten, but it has been so long since I last saw David at UVA. I am so very saddened to hear of his passing, but pleased to know of the vibrant life he led and the loving people he had around him. My very deepest condolences to the Goewey family.

I enjoyed teaching the kids in preschool :) How time flies! We are so sorry to hear about Dave. He was such a good guy!!! Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
