David L. Grunau

Dave was a long time friend, tennis buddy and generous host - when Sandra and I were married in 1980 Dave hosted a wedding reception for us at his unique home alongside Richardson Bay after the reception he took us across the bay in his speedboat as we set off on our honeymoon - a generous host indeed.

I didn't know David but my husband and I saw his beloved home in Mill Valley today. I wanted to learn more about the person who had lived in the home. I'm so touched to read his obituary. Brings me to tears to think someone may buy his home and tear it down. We loved it. I'm glad David enjoyed it with his wife. It's a special place. We could feel that when we were there. Our condolences to the family.

I was a neighbor of David's for 40 years. My husband & David were best friends. Thank God for Leslie in his life. . Made him a better & happier person .

I will be forever thankful to David for introducing me to the wondrous pleasures of bare-boat sailing in the Caribbean which led me to return many times. Many fun times spent together in Marin, and even in New Zealand and Thailand. I am saddened by the loss of a longtime friend.
