Not sure what to say?

I still think of you often Dave! Especially when I´m trying a new light in a portrait. I think ` what would Dave do?´ Mostly I miss our conversations about creative living! Thank you for your generosity and kindness. I have not forgotten you. `Be well, Be Happy´ was your last message to me! I needed to be reminded of that today.

I was just thinking of you yesterday and your last 4 words to me were ‘ Be well. Be Happy.’ Sometimes, when I’m anxious or sad, I repeat these words to myself as a sort of mantra In honor of your life and Your inspiration to others. It’s such simple, but insightful advise. Thank you for your friendship. You Are missed.

I will miss you Dave. Be at peace. My heartfelt condolences to the Harvey family. Wishing you all strength and comfort in these difficult times.

David Allen Harvey, you are a friend. I will always remember you as someone who would brought fun and life to the halls of Steward Observatory. The time we spent on the projects we worked on together and your wonderful humor are even to this day a part of my life. Much more than you may have known.

You are an inspiration. Your passion for photography forever changed who I am. Your kindness and your eagerness to share that passion enabled me to pursue my own.

You had the ability...

I never met David, but I spoke with him by phone. What a wonderful person and a real loss. I felt like I lost a friend when I learned of David's passing. I wish I could have known him better. May the Lord comfort his family.

David, you are truly a memorable photographer. My very sincere condolences to your wonderful family.

Dave's strong spirit was evident in his fight against cancer. What a fighter he was! Dave continued to take photos and to be with his family as long as possible. He accomplished much in his life, including building a loving family, taking hundreds (or is it thousands?) of beautiful photos and doing excellent work for the U of A. Although his life was cut short, it was certainly a full one, and he is missed by many, many folks. Sending love and prayers to Gwen and the girls.

Wow, I am shocked to hear this. What a wonderful man. I loved his work in photography. He will be greatly missed by all. May the Lord comfort you all in this sad time... The end of the World to a Caterpillar, to us is a Butterfly...

Your spirit lives on in all the people you inspired and shared your gracious ways with. Such an amazing person, I will never forget you and how you made me smile just being your friendly self.
