David Martinez Hernandez, 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, January 25, 2019.
Born in Texas on December 29, 1922, David proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He lived an active life filled with storytelling, dancing, singing and a passion for sports.
Longtime resident and friendly neighbor of Oxnard, California, David's legacy included his wife of 72 years, Virginia, their 8 children, 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and many more family members and friends.
To celebrate his life, a Memorial Mass will be held at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Saturday, February 2nd at 10:30 am.
