David Hokin

Time as passed so quickly but my memories of David are undiminished. I have been thinking of him a great deal lately. A wonderful warm soul.

Hard to believe that seven years have passed and David is still fresh in our minds. He touched so many lives in his short life. We still miss him, his sense of humor, his infectious smile, and his caring heart.

I am a distant cousin of David and his brothers. My father and is mom Ruth were 1st cousins. A few years ago my husband Joel and I came into Chicago for a visit. The Torah portion on that weekend happened to be the same one used for Joel's for mitzvah, so we went to shul. It was bashert that we went to the shul where the Hokins were members. It is now one year since David left us and we still mourn his loss. His memories,chats,phone calls,emails and occasional gatherings are still very much alive in our mind.We miss him terribly and hope for him to continue R.I.P.

My most sincere condolences to Gladys, Sam, William and the entire Hokin family. He was a great guy that will be missed.

I cannot tell you how sadden I was to hear of David's passing. I have known him for many years and had the privilege of caring for his parents Ruth and Irving. He had a warm and generous soul. Jack Bulmash
