Not sure what to say?

To Zipporah and Daughters,
Visiting with David in the hospital and speaking with him daily, before his demise, gave me great comfort and satisfaction. May he find eternal rest and peace and may you all continue to treasure his memory.
His twin sister, Irene

Dear Mrs. Jacobs,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I loved our little talks at the Bank of Boston inside the Quincy Star Market.

I remember a wise comment from Rabbi Jacobs that he made in front his house while we talked about the language of the Bible. He had just finished explaining that the presence of just four Hebrew letters designated something as sacred.

So when I asked him, "What makes the Bible holy?" I expected a similar answer, and he later gave one in detail. But his first response was, "Reading it."

Our deepest sympathies. We were so sorry to hear. As neighbors we would see Rabbi Jacobs on his strolls, he would stop to chat with my nephews before heading inside, we would share tomatos from the yard and wave hello. As one can see from the guest book, he was truely a warm thoughtful individual who has touched many.

We will always remember Rabbi Jacobs for his devotion to his community and to our family.Growing up in Quincy is a memory shared fondly with Rabbi Jacobs. He married us 42 years ago. We have stayed in touch. He always had a kind and uplifting word. We send our sincerest condolences to his dear family.May you find peace and
comfort in his memory.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.
I am very sorry for your loss. I will always have wonderful memories of the services I attended when I lived with my parents in Braintree, including my Bar Mitzvah.
Sincerely,

Dear Mrs. Jacobs and Family

No nicer person I have ever met. His gift to me and my family along with yours, Mrs. Jacobs, was immeasureable. I'm sure that his passing was not only a great loss for you and your family, but to everyone who knew him, without exception.

I cannot measure the sympathy that goes out to you and the family.

With love,

Eric Offman

To all the Jacobs Family: We send our deepest sympathies at this sad time.

To Mrs Jacobs and the family of Rabbi Jacobs,
As neighbors of Temple Beth El on Bridge St, for 44 years, the Flanders family offers its condolences to you. We moved there in 1955 and watched the temple be built by Rabbi Jacobs and watched your family walk to Temple and the girls grow. My dad, Al, enjoyed talking with the Rabbi on many occasions, until he died in 1998. I enjoyed the Rabbi's robust voice, his firm convictions and beliefs and his laughter. Our sympathies, the Flanders family
