Not sure what to say?

I just came across this news while I was looking for old shipmates from the USS Camden. I was a helicopter pilot aboard for a WestPac cruise in 1979-80 and when I wasn't flying I'd hang out with Dave in the ship's "radio station" and spin discs for the crew. The "studio" had the best ac on the ship so it was a nice break from heat in the Indian Ocean. Dave was truly funny and quick - we had a lot of fun. I'm saddened to learn of his passing - would have liked to talk with him again all these...

Prayers and positive thoughts of his memory.

Suzanne,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. David was a wonderful all around person. He always had a smile on his face and up beat personality. I will continue to keep you all in my prayers. Tina

Dear Suzanne and Family, I was sadden to recently learn of Dave's passing. I was privileged to have worked with Dave for several years and always enjoyed his company. He was a professional, committed to helping those he served.

Dave, it's been fun. Thanks for making the days a lot more tolerable and for keeping me going. I'm glad to have met such a positive person that had so much passion in his life for just about everything. I'll miss your daily stories and Naval lingo. Rest well, and I will see you again.

Susan and family,

I am so sorry for your loss. Dave was such a funny guy with a bubbly personality. I always enjoyed his company. He will be greatly missed.

I want to extend my sympathy to Dave's family. What a fine man he was. I knew Dave for the 17 years I worked at Northlands Job Corps in Vergennes. He was a bright light to all he came in contact with. The students were lucky to have him on their side. I loved to see him coming as you knew he would make you smile. It was a while ago for sure but I never forgot him and his contributions.

Suzanne,
I am so sorry for your loss. David was a true gentleman whose smile could brighten up the room. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. He will be greatly missed. If I can do anything please let me know. Jen Hemsted
