To Friends who have have offered condolences....thank you. This is the hardest loss I have ever experienced and really not quite sure what the future holds. I am diminished by David's death beyond words. He struggled more than any of us knew for his short time on this earth. He was so much like his Father with his twinkling eyes and ability to "hold court". I had a wonderful last day with him Monday a month ago. My heart aches for your family with this sudden loss of such a wonderful person. I will always remember David as my neighbor, friend, fellow UNCW student and he will hold a special place in my heart. My condolences to his family, I knew Dave from Wilmington years ago. He was always a happy fun easygoing guy. Years ago we went with friends on a snowboarding trip to the NC mountains. I'm saddened to hear of this tragic ending, and will pray for his family during this difficult time.

I have not seen David in several years but I'll will always remember him as a happy guy. Whenever I was around him he was full of life and had a positive attitude. I will miss him as a friend and seeing him in the water surfing.
