David W. Keller

It is difficult to realize that it has been over 40 years since I first met Dave. He was a QA manager on OAO, a very complex spacecraft, which in the early 60s had its share of problems: technical, schedule, customer relations and above all personality challenges.
Through it all Dave remained energetic, intense and driven but always within the bounds of courtesy and fairness. Being in engineering, and working closely with Dave's group, I had more than my share of disagreements with Dave....

I was with Dave and Bruce Bachofer about fourteen years ago in Bruce's office shortly after we all (the same age) decided to retire. We toasted a great time past in the space business and the business that would never be the same in the future.

Dave was a always a true gentleman with a gentle manner treating all his coworkers with a genuine concern . Working in a tough business environment he was a shining light.
