Not sure what to say?

David and I were born on the same day at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem and we were friends for years after we rode the city bus together to our first grade class at St John's Lutheran. We were almost thrown off the bus once for signing at the tops of our lungs but we were only five! I am so sorry for your loss! I'm sure he will be missed by all. My prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

David grew up near the top of "Martin Street hill" and I grew up a short distance down and away... at the corner of Martin and Sherwood. We started school a year early and were kindergarteners together in Miss Rubow's class at St. John's Lutheran.. when it was located just off the Baptist Hospital campus. Later we both attended and graduated from RJR.

Although David played mostly with the kids at his end of Martin Street and I, mostly with kids at my end, we occasionally got...

We are deeply saddened by your loss. We will cherish the memories of David and the times we spent together. We are with you during this time of grief. Lean on your friends for strength, and always remember how much you are cared about. May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead. Know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

It warms my heart to see all the care and love pouring out now for the loss of David. I knew David was a really good man when I married him. His family made me feel like I had always belonged with him. He has to be looking down and smiling in his cute kind of way and saying, it is a pretty good view from here.

David and I went to middle school and high school together in Winston-Salem. I had not seen him since those high school days when he came up to me at the mall some years ago and introduced himself. It was great to run into someone from "home" in Greenville. We saw each a couple of other times around town and he was always so kind...a really great guy. I know he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. All of you are in my prayers.

I heard of David's passing away today from a Facebook friend. I grew up on S. Hawthorne Road just down the street from David's house on Melrose. We had a "bike club" with a group of us kids(probably grade school age) and David was part of our club. He was always the sweetest guy and was nice to everyone.
I remember he had a unique voice and great laugh!! He was in my class of "70 at RJR. I never saw him since the 70's but I just thought of him the other day when talking to a friend about...

Kay and Family,

David was one of the most known and most loved people in the world. I am sure he never met a true stranger. He brought pleasure to every soul he touched.

David was my brother in Pi Kappa Phi, and a true friend. He was Pam's big brother in the fraternity. He was one of the reasons we even met each other. And he will live forever in our hearts.

Though the time and distance made our contact less and less frequent since leaving WCU, the...

David was the best brother anyone could have. Jessica and I will miss him forever. He truly loved everyone and wanted to do anything he could to help anyone. We all appreciate all the love and support coming from his friends to us.
