I sadly just learned about David's leaving us. While it is late, I said my thoughts and prayers to his children and loved ones. I didn't know David that well, but I could say with certainty he was one of the "good guys" I met in my journeys through Silicon Valley, he was a true Mensch!

Dave,

I can not believe you have left us. You were the Salsa King in our young years. I had never met anyone that danced like you. You were such a wonderful man and I am so proud to have known you. Thank you for all your love you gave our family. You were truly a brother to us. We are so sadden that you left us so early. Dave, you started the journey and one day we will follow.
See you then brother!

Our family is very saddened by the death of David. He was a member of the Gonzalez family for many years. David taught my son to play chess while visiting in Sinton, Texas. Years later I needed a job, and did not know how to work on a computer. David brought his apple to me, and taught me basics. Dave, we love you, and you touched our hearts depply.

David was a wonderful person who I was honored to know while we were at Stanford. We also were colleagues at Apple in the '80's. My prayers are with his family. His spirit is within all who knew him.

Dave was a great mentor for anyone who worked with him. A consummate professional and amazing problem solver. I learned so much from him in the short time that we worked together.

I knew Dave from Highland, where he was a mentor to many and had wisdom beyond his years. We lost touch but his many accomplishments in life come as no surprise given his many gifts. My condolences to his family.

I shared the sad news of Dave's death (via LinkedIn) with his former colleagues at Digital Impact. I thought I'd share a few of the comments back noting how much Dave will be missed along with condolences to friends and family.

Thank you for sharing this Kevin...but so sad to hear this news. He was a great guy & I have many great memories of working with Dave during my time at DI. My thoughts & Thoughts and prayers to Dave's family. Godspeed, Dave.

Sorry to hear this...
