David Ledger Obituary

David Allen Ledger

Born: November 26, 1962 | Died: March 16, 2025

(MSgt) David Allen Ledger (ret) passed away on the 16th of March 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon G Ledger, and was survived by his sister Sandra, brother Pete, and son Declan Ledger.

Born November 26, 1962, David grew up in East Tennessee before joining the U.S. Air Force, where he would go on to serve 26 years. His service took him to England, where he met & married Sharon, Germany, the Azores, multiple tours of the Middle East, and ultimately Texas. After leaving the service, David managed contract facilities on Goodfellow AFB providing jobs to the disabled.

In his free time David was a history buff, avid walker, and enjoyed puzzles. He enjoyed driving through the mountains, bowling, and time with his family. Known as Uncle Allen to his nieces & nephews, David's passing leaves behind a hole in his community that shall never quite be filled.

Family and friends are welcome to gather to celebrate the life and legacy of David on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 2:00pm at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920 with full military honors rendered. Online condolences and fond memories may be shared with the Ledger family at www.berryfuneralhome.com
