I just now found out about David, we were good friends on and off The Field! I Loved Jabbo, if I didn't find him in a crowd, he would find me! My name is Stephen Penny, everyone called me JC ! I had a bunch of fun whenever I saw Jabbo, and we would definitely laugh! I played softball for years in Kingsford Heights Labor Day Tournament! I have known Jabbo/David since middle school. His dad, who is still with us, coached little league with my wife´s father, Bob Fruth. Jabbo and I played basketball together.Years ago, out of the blue, he called me. Working for his mother in law in Michigan City workin those cars up. Showed up with a 6 pack, and ever since, stayed in contact. Before COVID of course, every time Kathy and I would get to LP, we would hook up with him. My sympathy to the Lipscomb family on the passing of Jabbo. He was blessed with a great personality and an infectious smile. I always enjoyed seeing David. He would brighten any persons day. May David rest in peace.
