Not sure what to say?

Steve, sorry it took so long to get to you. I wanted you to know how sorry I am for your loss; it doesn't matter how old we get, it doesn't diminish the feelings. I am sure your Dad was very proud of you, as well as his other kids. Thinking of you, Bert

Dear Mary, MaryLynn, Marty, Stephen, Sharon, Leslie, LeeAnn, and Claudia,

Your husband/father was such an example to me of how to live one's life effectively. His postage-stamp sized sign on his Tallahassee office wall, "There's only one main event," has been a constant reminder to me not to panic when life goes into a spin. He was grounded and bullet-proofed via his faith. His family was his highest priority after God.

I feel so fortunate to have been chosen to work with him...

Claudia, I am so sorry to hear of your family's loss. Mr Macnamara was such a kind person and I'm honored to have known him. I miss seeing him on Sundays in the NICU. He always had a smile and a kind word for all. Peace to you and your family.

LeeAnn,
I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing.
I remember him so fondly from our Christ the King days.
My Mom and Dad always thought so highly of him, as well.
Sending many prayers your way.

I just received the news this morning. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to all of you. Please know too you will all be in my prayers.
Love and prayers,
Veronica Shashy Smith

I only just now heard. Please accept my sincere condolences. Dave was first my boss at the Safety Council, then my friend through the Jacksonville Wellness Organization and finally, my mentor in the Diocese's Ministry Formation Program. I truly loved Dave - a wonderful, wonderful person. God bless you, Dave, for all you did.

The lives of many educators are richer, fuller and blessed because of the prayers Deacon MacNamara bestowed on us on many Tuesday evenings. It was an honor to be in his presence. He brought a spirit of peace and compassion to School Board meetings. May God provide the same to his family.

Deacon Dave demonstrated the best of mankind and took the Rotary Motto of "Service Above Self" to heart. He touched virtually every corner of our community. He "walked with kings while never losing the common touch" in his life. I'm sure St. Peter has welcomed him with open arms. Semper Fidelis, Dave. Rest in Peace. God bless your family!

A truly good man. He positively influenced so many with his gift of listening, helping, and steadfastness.
One of the great men from the "Greatest Generation."
