David was a mensch - a responsible person, all too uncommon in today's world. He was kind, considerate, thoughtful, knowledgeable, empathetic... And I could go on and on. It was wonderful to have known him and benefitted from his capabilities.

Dear Sheila. My thoughts go out to you and your family. You have shared David so generously with our class of 59 from Princeton and with the Center for Jewush Life ....the Hillel of Princeton......I have sent a donation there in his memory.......his life work reflects honor on his family's name Seth Weingarten. Dear Mrs. Manischewitz and family,
We at the waterfront send our deepest condolences and heartfelt praise of your husband/father. He was always a welcome constant aboard Sheila III every season which we are not prepared to see depart. His calm quiet companionship aboard the launch will be missed. We hope your memories of him here will bring you comfort in this difficult time.
