Rest In Peace, David

Best boss, ever. RIP, David

Best boss, ever.

Dave took his work seriously, but himself not at all, and was an incredibly humane presence at RTS and infinitely patient with a young, recycled Academic new to the business world (me). His reputation throughout the firm was pure gold, and his just-in-time influence on the challenging office dynamics in NBPT was inspired. He even supplied our southern toddler Robert with his first, and best-ever, baby sitters, his two wonderful daughters. We were the "other" David and Patricia in the RTS...

David Maslen was a loving family man and accomplished professional. This was obvious in how special and revered he was to his nieces in their young-adult years. It was equally obvious how special they and their families were to him.
I had no idea until reading his obituary how incredibly accomplished he was. It took a smart, personable, diligent man to accomplish so much while such life-balance. David did this in spite of cards being stacked against him at a young age.
I pray God...

The day David hired me to work at RTS/Aon was a high point in my professional life. He was the most inspiring manager I've ever worked for. He held the bar high for us all, and his brilliance, humor, and humanity made us want to jump way over it. He created a team with his unique leadership skills that was more than a sum of its parts. He leaves a great legacy. Blessings to his family.

Worked with David at A&A/Aon for many, many years and always enjoyed our interactions. A truly special person; get a warm glow just thinking about how sweet and nice he always was. Condolences to family, know David will be missed and his impact felt always.

My sympathy to David's family.

I knew David from his time on the Benefits Council Board, where I got to appreciate not only his contributions to our work but also his dry wit and sense of humor.

Rest in peace.

What a tremendous loss to our world. David was an inspiring leader and admired colleague at Aon, and I am thankful for the opportunity I had to work with and learn from him. He was a wonderful person. My deepest sympathies go out to David's family.
