David Mazzola Obituary

David J. Mazzola, 56, of Rocky Hill, formerly of Bristol, passed away on November 9, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born on July 13, 1967, the son of Paula Komar and Charles Mazzola of Connecticut. David was the general sales manager of the New Millennium car division of Stephen AutoMall Centre in Bristol for many years. Previously, David worked installing the fiber-optic cable system in Boston. David's lifelong hobby and passion was Muay Thai boxing. He traveled to Thailand several times to train and fight with the best boxers in the field. Another one of his passionate hobbies was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle on the rural roads of Connecticut and frequenting great eateries.

David is survived by his mother, Paula Komar of Rocky Hill, sister, Sharon Snow, niece, Sydney Snow, nephew, Jack Snow of Avon and Wethersfield, cousin, Charlie Mazzola, his wife Dawn Mazzola and their daughter, Marissa Mazzola of Colchester.

A service celebrating David's life will be held on Saturday, November 18, with calling hours from 9:30-11:00 and a service from 11:00-12:00 at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. Anyone who knew David, knew about his love of cats, especially Black Jack and Fluffy. In lieu of flowers, David would have appreciated donations to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111. Words cannot express the shockness I felt when I heard.
I worked with Dave a lot of years here. We would have fun with each other with crazy Dad Jokes. Who Could come up with the worst one. My son Sean worked here for a summer shuttling cars to the Auction. He asked me his first couple of days about the guy who told him to move a bunch of cars and couldn't remember his name. Sean says to me you the guy that looks like

Dr. Evil. I fell over laughing.
One of my fondest memories of too many to count.
May you rest in peace my friend
