Not sure what to say?

Not sure if he was the doctor at small hospital in Memphis where he called me to be private nurse to Elvis Presley. So not sure if he is this one. I pray for comfort for family and his soul to rest in peace. He was a strict but great eye MD with many success stories on eye surgery.

I just stumbled across this obituary on 3/4/2025. Long ago I was unlucky enough to need Dr. Meyer's services, and lucky enough to get them. It was late on a Friday night in early February 1987. I had noticed a blind spot in the peripheral vision of my left eye, and when it was brought to the doctor's attention, he dropped everything and met me at the hospital for emergency surgery to repair a detached retina. May he rest in peace.

Thank you for all you did for me. I'll never forget the years I spent working with your team. They were the best years of my life, and you were a wonderful mentor and friend.

Dr. Meyer was truly one of God´s Angels sent to work for Him here on earth! I have never know a doctor more dedicated to his patients, working long extensive hours but giving each person his full attention and service. My father was diagnosed with a tumor in his eye & was given 6 weeks to live. Dr. Meyer took the challenge to help my father fight this battle. His amazing abilities kept my dad with his eye for almost 7 more years before he finally lost (only) his right eye. My father lived 24...

I only learned of Dr. Meyer´s passing today (4/13/23) 26 yrs after he saved my left eye that suffered a trauma due to an auto accident in near Cape Girardeau, MO in March 1996. He was like a rock star to his patients and staff. He was a gifted surgeon who prevented thousands of human eyes from going dark permanently.

I just learned today of Dr. Meyer´s passing and wish to convey my greatest condolences to his family. Dr. Meyer saved my sight through surgery many years ago and I had the major privilege of working for him as part of the office staff. His devotion to his patients was second to none and his genius was apparent to anyone who worked for him. He genuinely cared for each patient and had great compassion and generosity. He will be greatly missed.

David was a fraternity brother of mine at Vanderbilt University. A ZBT, upper-class man who was an example to his younger brothers.

Dr. MEYER was one great man! He found my problem after I had been to several doctors. I would have probably lost my eyesight had it not been for Dr. Meyer! I am just now finding out about his passing. I have prayed and prayed for him. I know he is in a better place. He will be greatly missed. Love and prayers for his family and staff. With heart felt sympathy, Lillian Rae Canterbury

Thanks to a wonderful human being and doctor. He kept me seeing for forty-two years. I will never forget what he has done for me and others, He was my eye doctor and friend. Enjoy heaven Dr. Meyers. You deserve it.
