I just learning of dr. Ness's passing. I so very sorry to hear this. Due to non-insurance I had waited to see him and I just feel so bad. He was a jolly and good man and great dentist. I lost my husband Bud at age 63 in May of 2014 so I do feel your pain. If I can do anything, even offer mental support, please do not hesitate to contact me. May God's peace be with you and the family and friends.

First my thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
When I first went to Dr. Ness around 13 years ago I had no dental insurance and a mouth full of issues! My fear of the dentist kept me from going for a long time. He was so gentle and compassionate. His generosity was amazing. I am incredibly sad and will miss the way he always made me feel comfortable and welcome.

We are totally devastated - we also did not know until we called the office to set up an appt. We have been going to Greenwood Dental since before Dr. Ness took over so that has to be at least 25 tears.. Could not ask for a better dentist or a nicer guy. he alwasy talked about his kids and working with the boy scouts.
Our condolences to his family. HE WILL BE MISSED.

My then 6 year old's first visit with Dr. Ness 10 years ago.

We have been deeply saddened by the sudden loss of this very gentle, kind and talented dentist. We have been his patients since he took over after the passing of Dr. Ron Paiser and we felt so fortunate to have another great dentist.

We know our sadness is shared by the entire staff at Greenwood Dental as well as his loving wife, Nancy and his family - plus all the members of the Boy Scout Troop that he was so closely associated with.

Dr. Ness was a kind and gifted man We were privileged to have him as our friend and family dentist. He will be long remembered. Again, our deepest feelings of sympathy to all.

I would like to apologize for this late expression of our condolences. Like many others we just found out about Dr. Ness's passing. Our condolences to his family. Not was only was Dr. Ness a gentle, kind man but he was compassionate with a great sense of humor, as well. He provided dental services for many years for our family, including for our aging parents. When we asked him to help our parents, who needed dental services but did not have dental insurance, he was kind enough to allow them to arrange to pay for the services. We are forever grateful for his kindness and compassion shown to our family. We truly counted him as a friend to our family and will be missed dearly. Your family will be in our prayers.

We were patients of Dr. Ness's predecessor, Dr. Paiser. After Ron's passing, we wondered about the dentist who would replace him. From our first visit, we knew we had made the right decision to stay with Greenwood, and we told Dr. Ness that. He was always compassionate, interested in whatever issues we had, and just a kind, caring gentle man. He will be missed both as a dentist and a wonderful human being. May he rest in peace.

Visiting a dentist is one of my least favorite things to do. However, Dr. Ness made my appointments a pleasure. He was a true professional, as well as kind and gentle. My family and I have been his patients for more years than I can remember. We are all saddened by his death and wish to extend our since condolences to his family. Please know that he was a wonderful dentist and loved by his patients.

As a patient of Dr. Ness for many years I would like to send sympathy to his family. He allowed my oldest son to "shadow" him one summer so that he could experience "a day of work as a dentist." My son was impressed with all he shared with him that day, especially the trip to the restaurant for lunch! I will remember Dr. Ness as a role model and fine dentist. Our prayers to his family.

We are praying for you Nancy and your children. My heart broke today when I received the call from the office of your husband's passing. Dr. Ness was a special individual whom my wife and I have had the privilege of knowing for the past seven years. He faithfully helped to take care of our dental needs and supported our PLAN Food pantry outreach located in Round Lake Beach when we had the Wendy's fundraisers. Dr. David Ness was a wonderful man of God! Our sincere condolences. Pastor Michael and Michele Pimpo
